Hello and welcome to Jayobi!
Jayobi is the brainchild of Doug Hindman and was created to help you find a Jayobi (hint: spell the word “job” out loud). He provides you with his expertise gained over a 20 year professional career of helping clients advance their careers and find new positions.
With the dramatic downturn of our economy and the ever-increasing need of millions of people to find a new job, this free website was designed to reach out and help as many people as possible. Job search companies traditionally charge approximately $4,000 for this level of job search assistance, but Doug has been conducting these job search workshops for free in local churches and other meeting places. He was inspired by Jay Leno’s announcement that he was giving free comedy shows to auto workers in Detroit (one of the most depressed areas of our country).
Doug’s goal is to now expand his outreach program into homes and communities nationwide through the power of the Internet. Following Leno’s lead, Doug is giving what he knows best – job search expertise – to teach you the most effective way to locate and secure your new job. One of his mantras is that “job search can be fun” – and that is not something you hear very often.
Why is there so much “Green” on Jayobi.com?
To support the positive aspects of your change, Jayobi was designed to be GREEN. According to About.com, “Green is life. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health and environment … With both a warming and cooling effect, the color green denotes balance, harmony, and stability.” Likewise, Jayobi provides you with an opportunity for your professional renewal, growth, and the stability of a new career. So, we are GREEN!
First, I’d like to congratulate you on the website. And second, not to speak in hyperbole or to over exaggerate the point, but my thoughts echo much of what others have commented as well, namely, to thank you for the wealth of information that you have offered everyone in your videos. I can confidently say without a doubt that I have gained greater knowledge, and appreciation about the job search process from watching your videos than I have from any other article or website/blog on the Internet. So THANK YOU for this kindhearted of making your videos available to the public both willingly and at no cost–I appreciate it.
Alan, thank you so very much for your very articulate and thoughtful response. It is my hope that this website will be helpful to you and anyone currently involved in a job search. I wish you the best!
Doug,
I see your comment about putting the seminars onto a DVD, and I will add my vote for that, as well.
Thanks so much for all that you have done.
Blessings,
Hello Frank,
You are most welcome! I am finalizing the DVD currently and it will be available soon. It will contain over 4.5 hours of instructional video workshops covering everything in job search.
Doug,
I work with a non-profit. Is there a way to get DVD’s of what you have here to view on the web? If so, what is the cost? There are some people that we assist that don’t get on line or view to a group on TV’s larger screen that could use this but are very short on funds.
Hi Tommy,
Thank you for your inquiry … I am currently working on getting all of these video seminars onto a single DVD for you. And I will make them available to anyone who prefers to watch them on DVD.
Laid off January 28th; Attended Doug’s workshop at Forest Hill Church Feb/March; May 1st, began work at my dream job!
Hi Susan, Congrats on your new position — I wish you a fantastic new career!
